In 1970, the founder and original owner of the company, Danny van de Berg, started up business importing and selling wooden fencing as a self-employed trader on premises of approximately 200 m2.
Thanks to continuous innovation, Hillhout has meanwhile developed into a production and trade enterprise in garden timber and wooden garden products with an international reputation for outstanding quality and impressive customer service. The products are marketed under the Hillhout label. Hillhout is a trend-setter in gardens, both in the Netherlands and in many other European countries.
