Hillhout's guarantee scheme ensures that we will accept returns of our treated wood products if wood rot should be detected within 10 years of purchasing the relevant products. Subsequently, we will exchange the products for equivalent new materials, without any materials charges to the customer.

Eligibility to use our 10-year guarantee scheme against wood rot is subject to the condition of providing your Hillhout dealer with a valid receipt of purchase and - at his/her request - also showing this to our Service representative during inspection (if any) of the materials on-site. This is a legal requirement. Hillhout has no other possibility of accurately verifying the origin and age of the materials.

The guarantee is valid only if the wood has not been treated after delivery and no damage has been incurred. The material must have been placed and assembled in accordance with Hillhout instructions. Any costs for labour and other items related to replacing the materials are not included in the guarantee and will not be reimbursed.

Hillhout provides a 2-year factory guarantee on the construction of its products, also subject to providing the receipt. A different guarantee scheme applies to log cabins and garden chalets in the event where you had your log cabin or garden chalet placed and assembled by our assembly team: This comes with a 5-year guarantee on factory and construction faults.
