How do I maintain my wooden Hillhout furniture set? Hillhout's wooden furniture has been subjected to pressure impregnation and therefore does not require any further maintenance. You can paint them if you want colour. (Ask your paint specialist). We have large flower pots that we have to put indoors when it freezes. Does that apply to your column planters too? No. The main benefit of wooden flower planters is that they are frost-resistant.
